Product Description: GX-8 is an Inmarsat FB500-class satcom terminal capable of transceiving IP data up to 432 kbps shared channel, ISDN 3.1KHz audio, ISDN data (UDI) and streaming from 8 to 256kbps via Inmarsat 4th generation satellite network. GX-8 has a variety of external interfaces allowing user to transceive data and voice via Ethernet, ISDN, USB, 2-wire analog and built-in Wi-Fi (802.11b) access point for multi-user access. GX-8's above deck unit (ADU) consists of a high gain antenna (18 dBi), auto-tracking and GPS receiver providing stabilized platform for satcom operation on vessels of many size fittings. Separation from its ruggedized below-deck console (BDE) may be as far as 300 feet suitable for high mast mounting.
